Maddison Balk, Occupational Therapist
A summary of Maddison's qualifications and experience:
Maddison completed her degree in Occupational Therapy at Curtin University. She has previously worked in both early intervention and a school-based programmes with children experiencing hearing and visual loss, as well as other diagnoses. She has also worked in the fields of mental health and physical rehabilitation. Maddison has developed skills in a variety of paediatric therapies including self-care and feeding interventions, sensory processing, emotional regulation, and school based skills.
Maddison’s special interests and passions:
Maddison enjoys offerings a full range of paediatric OT services. However, her specialist skills are in early intervention, school based readiness and feeding therapy.
Reason for loving what you do:
When we asked Maddison the reason she loves her job she said, "I love getting to know families and their children, identifying their strengths and exploring strategies that will assist the child to perform a difficult task the best way they can for further skill development.”
