The Fat Brain Sew Fast game is a super-adaptable game to use to help children develop fine motor speed and dexterity, bilateral coordination, visual spatial skills, and problem-solving.
You can just use the boards and simple cards to establish skills, or you can use the game to add fun challenges and higher level skills. Sew Fast will have players testing their sewing skills as they race to complete the challenge cards before their opponent. With 40 challenge cards with varying levels of difficulty, this game is suited to either solo or two play.
There are two sewing boards, one for each player. The game begins with a player flipping over a card to start the challenge. Players must replicate the design on the challenge card on their individual sewing board. Each player will also have 3 coloured strings with a thick plastic needle at one end that fits through the holes on the board.
The pattern must be completed correctly, with coloured laces going under and over each other in the correct sequence. They cannot be threaded in the wrong order otherwise the pattern won't work - promoting both problem solving and spatial reasoning at the same time.
The fine movements of threading needles through the sewing boards make the Fat Brain Sew Fast a great activity for kids to develop their fine motor and hand eye coordination skills.
