Sindhu VS, Speech Pathologist

A summary of Sindhu's qualifications and experience:

Sindhu recently completed her Master of Speech Pathology degree at Curtin University, Western Australia. During her university placements, Sindhu worked with children and adults who required therapy for speech, language, voice, fluency, dysphagia and multimodal communication. Her final placement was here with us at Skillbuilders. Prior to commencing her Speech Therapy degree, Sindhu completed a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Psychology with a minor in education in New Zealand. Throughout both degrees Sindhu has also worked with children at the Dynamic Therapy Centre in Singapore. In this setting she had the opportunity to apply and build on her knowledge and skills by working in the capacity of teacher's assistant alongside speech therapists, occupational therapists and teachers in the Early Intervention Program.

Sindhu's special interests and passions:

Sindhu always had an interest in working with children from all backgrounds. She enjoys working in a multi-disciplinary team and with families to provide children with the required support.

Reason for loving what I do:

When we asked Sindhu the reason she loves working as a Speech Pathologist she said, "All individuals should have the opportunity to express their feelings, wants and needs. I am glad to support children in achieving their goals and bring out the best in them through fun therapy activities".
