Amy Bower, Physiotherapist

A summary of Amy's qualifications and experience:

Amy completed her Bachelor of Science (Physiotherapy) at Curtin University in 2014.  In 2019 she added a Graduate Certificate in Neurological Rehabilitation to her qualifications. Amy has extensive experience in working with children and adults with the full range of neurological as well as musculoskeletal concerns. She has completed numerous postgraduate courses and additional training as she's passionate about ensuring she has the most up-to-date knowledge for the children she's working with.

 

 

Amy's special interests and passions:

Amy has a range of skills and experience enabling her to support the development of children of all ages. She has a specific passion for supporting babies and toddlers with developmental delays. Her specialist skills include helping children with movement disorders with gait re-training, gross motor skill development through play-based therapy and skill acquisition. Amy is very confident in working with children with neurological conditions including Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, acquired brain injuries, Developmental Delay and Developmental Coordination Disorder.  

Beyond her professional life, Amy finds joy in spending quality time with family, going to the beach, indoor rock climbing, running, and Lyra.

 

Reason for loving what you do: 

When we asked Amy why she loves her work she said, "I just love my profession, having the opportunity to witness children reaching their full potential. I get so much fulfilment from being able to help build confidence in their little bodies."
