Shaye Fonseca, Occupational Therapist

A summary of Shaye's qualifications and experience:

Shaye completed her Bachelor of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy at Edith Cowan University in 2013. Since graduation Shaye has worked for several private sector paediatric therapy providers in Perth. She has developed strong skills in providing therapy services for children with a range of developmental concerns in both individual and group situations.

Shaye's special interests and passions:

Shaye has a broad range of skills and experience and is able to provide a full range of paediatric OT services. Her specialist skills lie particularly with children in kindy through to early primary school, helping them with early learning skills, motor skill development, sensory processing, and self-regulation. Shaye has a firm but gentle approach and has developed strong skills in managing children with tricky behaviour.

Reason for loving what you do:

When we asked Shaye why she enjoyed her role she said, "Seeing children grow in confidence and the smile on their faces when they master a skill does it for me!".
